LignUp Honored as a 2007 Pulver 100 Company at Spring 2007 VON

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- LignUp Corporation, a provider of converged communications solutions, will be honored as a 2007 Pulver 100 Company at the Spring 2007 VON Conference being held at the San Jose Convention Center, March 19-22, 2007. LignUp also will unveil new voice-enabled twikis and highlight its award-winning voice-enabled social networking mashup at VON. LignUp's mashups and twikis, which utilize the Level 3 network for all Web calls, can be viewed at the LignUp booth #836 and at the Level 3 Communications Technology Alliance Program (TAP) Partner Pavilion where LignUp will be featured.

Pulver 100 Event

The Pulver 100 is the first and foremost listing of privately-held growth companies that represent the future of IP Communications. Pulvermedia will honor LignUp and the other selected companies at the official Pulver 100 lunch at Spring VON, on Wednesday, March 21, at 1:00 p.m. The networking opportunity is open to staff from all the winning companies, and to members of the media. Pulvermedia, led by Jeff Pulver, chairman and founder, is the leading integrated media company, building communities and providing ready marketplace access through its unparalleled blend of trade shows, publications, web channels, and progressive cutting-edge media.

Voice-Enabled Twikis and Mashups

Based on a service-oriented architecture (SOA), the 100% software LignUp platform provides all the functionality needed to quickly build presence-aware, voice-enabled applications, Web services, mashups, and now for the first time, twikis. Twikis are structured enterprise wikis running on an intranet or the Internet, which look like standard topic pages on the Web but allow anyone to change a topic or add content just by using a browser. Because even users without programming skills can collaboratively create Web content using twikis, they are quickly becoming popular platforms for project management, knowledge management, and collaboration. LignUp will unveil how developers can create their own voice-enabled twikis, using such capabilities as voicemail and broadcast messages via text-to-speech or SMS.

LignUp will also demonstrate several of its reference mashups for social networking and business collaboration. Included will be "FishLign", which took the third-place prize in the Emerging Telephony Mashup Contest, announced March 1, 2007. FishLign visitors can among other activities call and leave a message for Jenny; click on the "Jenny Rules" button to set "VIP" and "Black List" numbers for Jenny; and get a call from Jenny's favorite store, "ClothesLign." Attendees can also experience a photo-sharing site where visitors can leave their own comments, a voice-enabled email client that lets users make three-way calls and send broadcast messages, and a personal communications portal where users can hear their email and calendar entries through text-to-speech.
